IT’S

YOU GO BACK TO READ AND REVIEW
THE DETAILS BEFORE PROCEEDING
TO THE NEXT STEP.
What's the enrollment process?
Acceptance into any of these On-The-Job-Training
programs in major Recording Studios,
Record Companies, Radio/TV Stations and
Film and Video Companies is determined
by personal interview only and is necessarily
very selective.
Think about it:
Since 1983, our training program has helped launch careers in Recording, Film/Video and Radio for beginners and the experienced alike.
How? They were training with, assisting, gophering for the one person who does the hiring, firing, recommending and recruiting. Because they displayed a cooperative attitude. Because they showed some initiative. They were hired for being motivated, for having the desire, for showing up on time, showing up early. For displaying character, good manners, and respect... for being a problem solver... and being part of a team.
Because they took one step towards fulfilling a dream and it paid off.
Complete and submit the application form
located at the end of this website. It's
important that you supply us with an
email address.
REMEMBER you may have many questions,
but in order to get to a phone interview
whereby your specific questions can be
answered in detail and you can find out
about the opportunities available to
you, your first required step is to submit
the Preliminary Application for Enrollment,
coming up after the next page.
2. PHONE INTERVIEW WITH APPRENTICE-MENTOR ASSOCIATION
You can expect to receive notification
by email, so be on the lookout
for an email with the Subject: "GetAMentor – Your
Online (Radio, Recording or Film) Application" from: contactus@getamentor.com. It
will contain important information
regarding scheduling your preliminary
phone interview. Someone may
also call you if there is an
immediate opening available.
3. FACE-TO-FACE INTERVIEW
WITH POTENTIAL MENTOR
(AT STATION/STUDIO/FILM COMPANY)
After passing the phone interview
we will take you to the next
step in matching you with a
mentor. You and your personally
approved potential mentor will
arrange a time for your interview,
and if it's a good fit - you
both “click”-
and can work out a suitable
schedule between yourselves,
we then complete your enrollment
process.
And so it begins...you are
on your way!
WAITING LIST
We seldom
have what would be called an
immediate opening. All areas
in the U.S. and Canada have a
minimum 45-day waiting list.
Some areas have a 4 to 6 month
waiting list.
The clock starts ticking when you submit your application, so the sooner the
better with respect to your start date. We can then advise you by email of the
first available opening.
